"It was a long, painful and arduous journey. Extremely lonely, isolating, traumatic, and life changing. I experienced so many challenges, barriers to care, set backs etc on my path to seeking help and wellness. However, I learned alot about myself, what I am capable of, and what I am here to do in this life from it. I've chosen to take my pain and give it purpose. It is my mission to give hope to families, to influence real change in the realm of Maternal Mental Health Care. While I still have quite a ways to go, I have come a long way from where I was. I have since gotten my PMH-C and have returned to providing doula care for my community, become a support coordinator for two counties, created a network of care options in a city that had absolutely nothing and there's much more I am working on that will follow!"
